Every wash — even a careful one — leaves microscopic marring in clear coat over time. Add in Florida's intense UV and airborne salt, and that marring shows up as haze and swirls faster than it would in a milder climate. Paint correction uses a machine polisher and progressively finer compounds to level out that damaged layer of clear coat, revealing the undamaged, glossy layer underneath. It's a measured, controlled process — not aggressive sanding — done in passes, checked under raking light between steps.
Because correction works by leveling clear coat, we always start with a digital paint-thickness reading during your inspection, so we know exactly how much room we have to work with before recommending 1-Step or 2-Step. Not sure whether your car needs correction, coating, or both? This guide walks through the difference.

What affects your price: vehicle size, current paint condition, and how many panels need heavier correction. We confirm exact pricing at your free in-person inspection — never a surprise on the day of service.
1-Step handles light swirls, haze, and minor oxidation — the kind of wear that builds up from regular washing over a year or two. 2-Step is for deeper, more visible scratches and heavier oxidation that a single polishing pass won't fully remove. We'll confirm which one your vehicle needs at the in-person inspection.
Paint depth and defect severity vary a lot by vehicle, age, and history — we measure paint thickness with a digital gauge before committing to a stage, since correction removes a small amount of clear coat and we want to be certain there's enough to work with safely.
It removes swirls, light-to-moderate scratches, water spots, and oxidation that sit within the clear coat. Deeper scratches that have cut through to the base color usually need touch-up paint or panel repair rather than polishing.
The correction itself is permanent — it's not a coating that wears off. But paint immediately starts accumulating new swirls from washing and environmental exposure, which is why most customers pair correction with a ceramic coating to protect the freshly corrected surface.
Both — you can book paint correction as a standalone service. That said, correcting paint and then leaving it unprotected means new swirls start immediately, so we do recommend the ceramic coating pairing if you want the result to last.
